McDonald's fundraiser serves up loot

By: Benjamin DiGiulio

The Rumney Marsh Academy fundraiser at the McDonald’s on Squire Road was a big hit yet again this year. Teachers worked the fryer, the cash register, and even the take-out window. Some of the most well known teachers in the school, including Mr.DiMarino, Ms.O’Hara and many more, were working their tails off trying to get out as much food as possible.

Mr. DiMarino, 6th grade geography teacher at the RMA, worked the fryer. This was Dimarino’s second time working at the RMA fundraiser. He told the students to eat up the fries because he was the one making them.

Mr. DiGiulio, elementary school teacher in the Revere Public Schools, was there showing off his RPS Pride supporting the RMA Fundraiser. He said, “It’s a pleasure spending money for the schools."

Sixth grader at the RMA, Jeffrey Tran, also showed up to the RMA Fundraiser. He thought the teachers should work there more often and do it more than once a year. The Rumney Marsh Reporter took a poll asking “Are you happy with the teachers working and serving here at McDonalds?” Out of twenty students, 19 of them said yes. It was a very successful day for the RMA between the raffles and the amount of people buying food.
